Atlantic Development successfully developed this 50-acre former auto salvage yard and dumping ground into a thriving 800,000 SF mixed-use community hosting a Roche Bros. grocery store, Wal-Mart, AvalonBay apartments, senior housing and single-family homes. As part of the project, Atlantic Development also donated the land for nine South Shore Habitat for Humanity homes. Thanks to Atlantic Development’s unique vision, this once blighted area is now a local economic engine that is home to a visually pleasing, vibrant residential neighborhood.
“The development involved significant environmental remediation and capping of property previously used as landfills and automobile junkyards. Working closely with neighbors, local officials, State agencies and their experienced development team, Atlantic transformed an unsafe and contaminated area into a vibrant neighborhood producing hundreds of new jobs and over $1,400,000 annually in real estate tax revenue for the City of Quincy… Atlantic has also been continually involved and supportive in numerous local, civic and charitable activities in Quincy. Based on our experience with Atlantic, we would rate them as a developer committed to cooperation with a steadfast dedication to excellence.“
